What is Ambassador Marketing?

Ambassador marketing is a type of word-of- mouth marketing that uses your best customers, followers, and fans to spread the word about your brand.

The majority of today’s ambassador marketing is done online through social media. Brand ambassadors create posts, photos, videos, and more that highlight a brand, its products, and encourage others to consider the brands they represent. 

Brands provide marketing tasks to help guide their ambassadors and to better control the types of content created through intentional campaigns. Some brands have very specific guidelines in these tasks, others are broader and give the ambassadors more creative control.

Brand ambassadors are rewarded for their efforts in the form of cash payments, gift cards, points, and free products. This creates a symbiotic relationship between the brand and the ambassador. Brand ambassadors earn exciting rewards, and brands receive promotional content that they can use in future campaigns.
